City Land Use and Circulation Element Update (LUCE)
FINAL EIR
The Final EIR (FEIR) for the LUCE update is now available.  Comments received from the public and agencies are responded to in the FEIR and the FEIR will used by the Planning Commission and City Council to inform recommendations and decisions as the LUCE makes its way through the public hearing process.  The public is encouraged to attend future hearings and provide their comments and input on the LUCE update documents. The hearing schedule and information on the LUCE update and FEIR (including links to the draft documents) can be found on the project website at:

Measure Y Information
On July 1, a majority of the City Council called for the submittal of a ballot measure for the November 2014 General Election to extend the San Luis Obispo Essential Services Measure, a 1/2-percent local sales tax, for another eight years. Download a packet on how to submit ballot arguments.  Updated information will be posted as it becomes available.
2014-15 Events Promotion Sponsorship Application is now available. The PCC and TBID's annual Events Promotion sponsorship funding application period for the promotion of destination events in the City of San Luis Obispo is now available for the 2014-15 year. Application deadline: 8/14/14 at 5:00 p.m. Informational meeting 7/9/14 at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
Slurry Seal Construction Notice
The City of SLO has scheduled street sealing September through October in residential and commercial areas in the Foothill and Los Osos Valley Rd. neighborhoods. To view the flyer with further details, click here.

Operation Clean Sweep

Find out what day your neighborhood is swept, and pile those cars in the driveway that day so the sweeper can do its job. Go to the Street Sweeper Schedule Map link: SLO City Sweep Day to find out the sweep day for your street. Once you find out your day, put a note on the refrigerator, in your car, or on your phone to help you remember! Please get those cars off the street. Much appreciated!
Empower Energy Efficiency Program Launched in San Luis Obispo County
Services and programs offered include no-cost home energy efficiency assessments and technical and financial assistance with home energy upgrade projects.  Empower SLO's new energy coach is a local expert in home energy efficiency, and is now offering free expert energy advice to homeowners in San Luis Obispo County.  Please see the link below to the Energy Alliance Newsletter for more information.  More details can also be found on the SLO Energy Alliance website at: http://sloenergyalliance.org

2014 Draft Housing Element
The City is updating its Housing Element based on state law, evaluation of goals, policies and programs and input from residents and stakeholders.
