Orcutt Area Specific Plan (Link to Key Documents)
The Orcutt Area is located along
the southwestern edge of the city limits of San Luis Obispo. The
Orcutt Area encompasses 230 acres of land at the base of Righetti Hill.
On March 2, 2010, the City Council approved the
Final Draft of the Orcutt Area
Specific Plan (OASP). The City Council has also
certified the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for the
project. The OASP and FEIR were the subject of 17 public hearings
by the Commission and other City advisory bodies from 2008 to 2010
(staff reports for these meetings are provided below).
The final step in the process for adoption of the OASP is annexation
of the specific plan area, which is currently under consideration by
the City Council and is scheduled to proceed to LAFCO later this
year.
Next Meeting
The City Council will meet on September 21, 2010, to consider annexation
zoning and impact fees for the area. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the
Council Chamber at City Hall, 990 Palm Street.
