Natural Resources Protection Program

In 2008-09 the Program....

  • Completed purchase of a conservation easement on 838 acres of ranch land in Stenner Creek Canyon.
  • Acquired the remaining 50% undivided interest in the 185 acre Bowden Ranch.
  • Transferred the conservation easement on the that 185 acres to the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County.
  • Sold a surplus 14 acre property while retaining a conservation easement on it.
  • Completed construction of the first phase of the Bob Jones Trail.
  • Managed several important mitigation projects.
  • Opened the Johnson Ranch for public use and enjoyment.
