Therapy/Tot Pool Recreational SwimmingTherapy Pool

The Therapy/Tot Pool not only offers new and unique programs, it also accommodates people of all ages. The shallow section of the pool is available for toddlers and accompanying adults, while the deeper section is available for adults and seniors to enjoy the pool for exercise and self-directed activities.

ARC Swimming Levels

ARC Swimming Levels - Courses 2011
contains an overview of the skills included and the exit skill requirements for each course offered.

Monthly Rates, Passcards and Swim Scripts
Fees for Aqua Aerobics and Lap Swimming may be paid monthly: $45 per month ($35 per month for youth/seniors). Passcards are $60 ($50 for youth/seniors) and are good for 20 swims. Swim scripts (books of 10 passes) are available for Aqua Aerobics, Lap Swimming and Recreation Swimming and may be purchased for $22.50/youth and seniors, $27/adults.

 

Aqua Aerobics

For a guided workout, try the shallow water aqua aerobics classes. This class is conducted in the shallow end of the main pool, in water that is kept at 80 degrees.

Lap Swimming
The Lap Swimming Program is time that can be utilized for several types of aquatic activities including: walking, kicking, physical therapy, aqua jogging, triathlon training, or working one-on-one with children.

Summer Recreational Swimming
This recreational aquatic program is open to people of all ages to swim, dive or play; makes for a great opportunity to have a family outing or a party. Diving boards are available and a few lanes will be open for adult lap swimmers. Check back for 2012 details in the spring!

General Information
The SLO Swim Center, is located in Sinsheimer Park at the end of Southwood Drive (902 Southwood Drive). This is a 50 meter by 25 yard outdoor pool. The temperature controls are calibrated in an effort to keep the water between 79 and 81 degrees. In addition to the main pool, a therapy/tot pool is available year-round, with depths ranging from 1' to 4'. The temperature of the therapy pool is maintained at 88 degrees. The facility is equipped to meet all ADA requirements and staffed by certified and trained rescue personnel.

Safety is, and always will be the primary factor in determining the specifics of any activity offered at the SLO Swim Center.
